About myself
im jan, a self taught artist that likes to draw whenever i feel like it. i draw both traditionally and digitally, with no particular preference among the two.
i use mostly watercolors and gouache for my traditional illustrations, and a drawing tablet and a laptop for my digital works.
terms of service
rates
my rates will be posted on my twitter account whenever i open commissions. I shall pin the tweet to show my current rates & the style choices available.
the rates on my pinned tweet are just base prices. prices may vary depending on complexity.
payment method
I only accept payment through GCAsh or paypal.
client will pay 50% initial payment first upon agreement on initial sketch, then the other half upon agreement on the final piece. this is applicable to ALL transactions. I will only proceed with the piece once i receive the initial payment.
note: clients can opt to pay upfront if they wish to do so.

= i will only accept commissions in the styles included in my pinned tweet
note
+ all communication shall be done in either of the following:
Twitter DMs

Instagram DMs
+ commissioned pieces are for personal use only. i currently do not accept commissions for commercial uses.
+ quality reference photos are appreciated
+ regular progress updates will be sent to client to ensure satisfaction.
+ final piece will be sent through gmail / google drive for best quality.
+ providing a deadline may be subject to an additional fee. the commission shall be completed in two (2) months maximum. I will contact the client if more time is needed.
+ when uploading commission, please use the watermarked version. The watermark will only be minimal.
As the artist,
+ i have the right to decline a commission
+ i have full rights over the piece
+ i can use the piece for my portfolio and upload it on social media for promotion

refund policy
• i can do 50% refund of the initial payment if you'd like to cancel even after agreeing on initial sketch (this is if, by any reason, you decide to cancel the commission and decide not to pay the other half while i am sending progress updates)
+ no refunds once full price is paid and clean version of the piece is sent.
+ If I cannot finish your commission due to personal reasons and you've already paid the initial payment, i will refund 100% of the initial payment.

The process for interested clients will be as follows:
1.) confirmation of order
client will send me a direct message in twitter or an email containing the following information:
style: (style 1, style 2, style 3a, style 4a, etc., depending on pinned tweet rates)
number of characters: (just put a number! minimum is 1, and maximum is three at the moment. the rates will be in my pinned tweet.)
piece orientation: (landscape/portrait) i work on a4 by default but if you'd like specific dimensions kindly state it here.
would you like a transparent bg copy?: (yes/no)
is this project in a rush? (yes/no) a rushed commission may amount to additional charges.

2.) notification & sketching
i will notify the client once i accept the commission. within 2 weeks after accepting the commission, i shall send initial sketches. you may request for revisions at this point. six (6) maximum revisions.
3.) initial payment
Once you agree on the initial sketch, I will wait for the initial payment before proceeding with the piece. Please try to send the payment within 3 days after approval of the initial sketch.
4.) coloring, rendering, etc.
once payment is received, I will proceed with the piece and send progress updates as i see fit. i may send questions at this point, so i humbly request your cooperation to produce the best results :3. six (6) maximum revisions.
5.) Final approval & payment
I will send a heavily watermarked version of the finished piece and upon agreement, you can send the remaining half of the payment. Once i receive the payment, I will send the final piece to the email you put in the form above. Please try to send the payment within 3 days after approval of the initial sketch.
